The award is given after an evaluation that considers five key areas: idea, form, function, differentiation, and sustainability.
Established in 1954, the iF Design Award is organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover, Germany. It is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious design awards in the world.
For this year’s edition, 129 design experts from 21 countries reviewed more than 10,000 entries, including products and projects from 68 countries.
The latest Patrol and Armada represent the seventh generation of Nissan’s flagship SUV, continuing more than 75 years of the model’s history. The vehicles combine modern technology with design elements influenced by Japanese craftsmanship.
Key design features include the “Double-C” lighting signature used in both the headlamps and taillamps, as well as side vents on the front fenders. Nissan says the exterior emphasizes a rugged presence, while the interior features an intuitive cockpit and an eight-seat layout designed to provide comfort for passengers on long journeys.
